New York based fashion designer, Adrian Alicea of ADRIAN ALICEA HAUTE COUTURE (www.adrianalicea.com) is proud to announce his fashion collection for F/W 2014.
Adrian came from humble beginnings. Born in Puerto Rico, he came to New York with his family at the age of four. His creativity and curiosity fueled his imagination which eventually led him to explore the fashion and entertainment worlds. Here, he got his start a dancer, fashion model and photographer where he worked with some of the highest esteemed artists and fashion designers. His vast knowledge of design, fit and style and his love of color, fabrications and high end fashion eventually inspired him to start his own line, ADRIAN ALICEA HAUTE COUTURE. Adrian's exclusive designs have been worn by celebrities such as Zoe Saldana, Linda Evangelista, Blanca Soto, Marilyn Manson, and Paris Hilton just to name a few.
ADRIAN ALICEA HAUTE COUTURE continues to receive accolades and has been recently profiled in Vogue Russian, InStyle, Spoon, Flaunt, Marie Claire, Numéro and GQ. The S/S 13 collection "HYBRIDS OF THE DEEP BLUE SEA" received a standing ovation and was dedicated to the late Anna Piaggi. The event was held in the historical St. Bartholomew's Cathedral on Park Avenue. Following this presentation, Mr. Alicea's creations were featured on the Ellen DeGeneres show and on Fox 5.
Continuing on in his success, the next show is set to be even bigger and better than the last. Gracing the runway will be reality stars Karen Gravano and Renee Rizzo from Vh1's Mob Wives as as well as Plus Size Supermodel Christina Mendez. The show is hosted by actor and producer Fidel Vicioso of Law and Order. Media coverage includes Telemundo, ABC, NY1 and Univision.
The theme for this season's showcase is "CHRYSALIS", which is inspired by Adrian's perception of the universe. Explore infinity conceived through the eyes of his designs, which are always known for being unique, colorful, sexy and awe inspiring. Through this rebirth, he is also proud to introduce his Couture Curves line, which is where plus size and couture meet and happily marry.
This exclusive event will take place on February 12, 2013 at Landmark on the Park located at 160 Central Park West on 76th Street. The show will begin at 8:30 pm and I'll definitely be there. I'm so amped for this show, since all of Adrian's fashion presentations to date have been far beyond what regular runway shows are. They are theatrical events that leave you sitting there entranced by his models, his eclectic and edgy designs and his ability to grab your attention and completely pull you into his world. This is the third show of Adrian's that I will be attending and my respect and love for him and his collections has only increased.
